Day Two: Wednesday, May 25th, 2011
We started our second day off by heading to Rockefeller Center. Our first stop was St. Patrick's Cathedral. It was so beautiful! I'll just pick a few shots to share, but I took a ton. It was one of our favorite parts of the trip.

Then we headed over to the Museum of Modern Art. It was incredible! I'll try to limit the art pictures, but it was one of the few museums we were allowed to photograph in so I went a bit overboard.

Andy Warhol - Rorschach
Jackson Pollock - One: Number 31
Andrew Wyeth - Christina's World
Pablo Picasso - Girl before a Mirror
Claude Monet - Water Lilies
Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night
Piet Mondrian - Composition in Brown and Gray
After MoMA we walked through Times Square to find a place to eat. That place was nuts. I think we were both glad to see it, but not have much else to do with it.

After lunch we checked out the New York Public Library. Magical! There was a special exhibition inside the library, so we were able to see manuscripts from different eras and authors. I know there were illuminated manuscripts, but I'm afraid I'll mess up which authors we saw so I'll ask Matt and update this part tomorrow.

From the library we went to The Morgan Library and Museum. Unfortunately photography was prohibited and we were under the impression that we would be able to see manuscripts from Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and Shakespeare. We did not. You have to set up an appointment ahead of time and they let you use their research library or something like that, but it was a really beautiful building and J.P. Morgan's personal library was incredible.
After The Morgan we walked over to Grand Central Terminal. It was crazy busy. There were all these shops and places to eat. We didn't catch the subway at this point in the day, but we caught it from here later in the week. I really wanted to use Grand Central and I'm glad we were able to, at least once.

Our next stop was the Chrysler Building. It was so pretty. Oh, how I love the Chrysler Building!

Next we went to the Empire State Building. The top of the Empire State Building, to be exact!

On top of the Empire State Building! (If we look gross it's because we were gross). Humidity, hu-shmidity!

Our last stop of the day was 30 Rockefeller Plaza. We went to the Top of the Rock observation decks. The view was just as incredible as the Empire State Building. I'm not sure which I enjoyed more honestly. Top of the Rock had better views of Central Park, for sure.
